The YWAM San Francisco Outreach Department seeks to challenge and equip followers of Jesus to serve our city and their own communities with greater vision and hope.

Jesus plants his people, in a very specific context - this includes our family, workplace, culture, location, and the neighborhoods we live in. In order to bear healthy fruit in these contexts, His people must first take root.

San Francisco is a city of beauty, influence, and community. It is a city that gives birth to movements; with a history of beatniks, hippies, protestors, start-ups, and so much more. San Francisco has birthed many movements that have shaped this nation and the world. In a city of movements, there isn’t a more important neighborhood, in our opinion, than the Tenderloin. The neighborhood is the spark of many historical movements. A neighborhood spanning 32 city blocks, with 30,000 people, speaking over 25 languages. It is in this neighborhood that God has placed us - to love our neighbors, to care for the vulnerable, and to embody his kingdom. Come join us this year and see what God is doing in our neighborhood and how you, too, can be a part of the movement.
