Walking almost anywhere in the Bay Area right now you can be confronted with one major issue: Homelessness. There is a displacement epidemic sweeping from San Francisco to Fremont and beyond. While we can argue angles of why, there is a deep question we as followers of Christ must ask:
What can we do? What is God looking for from us in response?
Reverend Harry Louis Williams is a pastor of the streets, known as ‘OG Rev,’ he has ministered in a range of difficult situations, from rescuing people out of trafficking, to stopping violence in the hood of Oakland, to feeding his neighbor on the sidewalk. Join us as OG Rev shares with us, and invites us into a conversation around how we can respond to urban issues in small and big ways. He will be sharing from his recently released book: Taking it to the Streets: Lessons from a Life of Urban Ministry, published by InterVarsity Press.
